One safety boat will be responsible for a maximum of 9 athletes (8+) or a maximum of 4 smaller boats where the number of athletes cannot exceed 9. Shells must remain within 200 meters of the safety boat. It is also important to bring appropriate layers to row in and packing dry clothes to change in to can be helpful!
