Here are some updates on what happening around the club this month…
Volunteering Update
A big thank you to all the volunteers who came out for our first Saturday Work Party.
Gardens were trimmed & refreshed, boathouse was swept clean, and thanks to a major junk purge, everything is looking great!
We also checked & prepared equipment and supplies for the upcoming Anniversary Celebration on June 8th – which was a great event!
Again, thanks to all who participated, and don’t forget to log your hours in the Volunteer Log Book at the sign-out desk.
Next work party is scheduled the first Saturday in July (July 6th). See you then!

25th Anniversary
Thank you to everyone who was able to attend the GRC’s 25th anniversary celebration. It was a fantastic tribute to a successful 25 years. We would also like to extend a huge thank you to the planning committee and volunteers.

OAR Update and Participation
The June OAR newsletter (click here if you missed it) is out but I wanted to remind you that the registration forms are now on the OAR website for two tours which can be combined into a weekend in the Brockville/1000 Islands area on June 22 and 23. For a full listing of upcoming tours click here. Tours are a wonderful way to gain more rowing experience, the pace allows for focusing on form, or cloud watching and shore gazing, whichever you prefer.
Shown below is Henry and Nancy rowing the Tay Canal and Bob’s Lake tours. Good weather, great friendships, and good times. Both days we were visited by butterflies, Isobelle’s spirit joining us on our adventure. At lunch we raised our glasses to our friend.

Youth Learn to Row Camp
Spread the word! Registration is still open for our first ever youth learn to row camp with fees discounted by 50%. If you know of anyone that may be interested, direct them to this link.
